FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) protects student education records. Blueprint is fully FERPA compliant when used by schools and districts.
What this means
FERPA compliance means that schools maintain control over student data shared with Blueprint, and parents have the right to inspect and request changes to their child's records. We sign Data Processing Agreements with every school partner, and student data is only used for the educational purposes outlined in those agreements. We also provide data export and deletion capabilities on request.
Individual students signing up outside of a school partnership are not covered by FERPA (it applies to schools receiving federal funding). Your data is still protected by our privacy policy and terms of service.
